Privacy, in plain English

This is the short version of how MTHD handles your information. We collect as little as possible and never sell it.

What we collect and why

When you book a free class, we ask for your name, email, optionally your phone number, your experience level and anything you choose to tell us. We use this for one thing: arranging and confirming your class, and following up about it. We also record how you found the site (a tag on the link you followed, the site that sent you here, or your answer to “How did you hear about us?”) so we know which of our efforts actually bring people through the door; nothing in that identifies you. Booking submissions are stored in our own booking system, hosted by Cloudflare (in their EU-served D1 database), and emails about your booking are delivered by Resend (EU region). We don’t store your IP address with your enquiry.

Memberships and payments

If you join online, you enter your name, email and optionally your phone number on our site, then pay on a checkout page run by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card or bank details go straight to Stripe; MTHD never sees or stores them. Stripe tells us the payment went through and gives us a customer reference, which we keep in our membership system (hosted by Cloudflare, as above) with your name, contact details, plan and membership status so we can check you in and manage your billing. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy, and its checkout page sets its own cookies; our site still sets none. We keep membership and payment records while you’re a member and afterwards for as long as UK tax rules require.

No cookies, no tracking

This site runs no analytics and sets no cookies, which is also why you don’t see a cookie banner here.

How long we keep things

If your enquiry doesn’t lead to a membership, it’s deleted automatically 12 months after we last update it. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we keep your email address permanently on our do-not-email list so we never contact you again. Ask us to delete your details at any time and we will.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email info@mthdmartialarts.co.uk and we’ll sort it. No forms, no fuss.
