BJJ classes near Portswood
Portswood is our next-door neighbourhood. The gym sits in Swaythling, straight up Thomas Lewis Way from the Broadway, so most people get door-to-mat in five to ten minutes and some of our members simply walk it. That makes us the natural pick if you're a student around Portswood or Highfield campus and want to start Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu properly, with actual coaching and a curriculum, rather than drop-in sessions that assume you already know what you're doing. Our Student & NHS membership keeps the cost sensible on a student budget, and we regularly run four-week beginner courses, so there's always a start date on the horizon where everyone else in the room is brand new too. Evening classes finish by 8:30pm, so training fits around lectures, shifts and a social life. If your only exposure to BJJ is a housemate raving about it or clips online, come and try a free class and we'll show you the real thing from step one.
